How to Reset the Air Bag Lights in a 1995 Nissan Sentra

You can reset the airbag light on your 1995 Nissan Sentra without the aid of any special tools. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) light will illuminate on the instrument panel when there is a malfunction with the airbag assembly. When this light turns on, have the vehicle towed to a mechanic rather than risk driving it. Theres always the chance the airbag will accidentally deploy while you are driving it. When the problem has been repaired, shut off the SRS light yourself.

Instructions

Look for and open the fuse panel cover. You can find it underneath the steering column. Pull down on it from the top using your fingers.

Find the yellow plug. This is the electrical connector for the airbag system. Pull this plug out of the panel.

Wait 10 minutes, then secure the yellow plug back in place. Put the fuse panel cover back on.

Put the key into the ignition and start the engine. Look at the instrument panel to verify that the SRS light has turned off.

Instructions

Park your 2003 Honda Civic SI on level ground and engage the parking brake. Always be safe when working on a car and double-check that the car is secure and that it has completely cooled.

Slide under the front end of the car to the back of the fog-light assembly. Unplug the wiring harness from the light socket. Remove the three mounting bolts on the fog-light assembly. Pull out the assembly.

Press the new assembly into place and secure it with the three mounting bolts. Be caul not to overtighten the bolts. Plug the wiring harness into the new socket. Repeat this process for the remaining fog light. Test the lights.

How to Install Fog Lights in a 2005 Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper was an iconic British automobile for much of the second half of the 20th century. Its small size was both economical and fuel efficient, leading it to be compared favorably to its rival, the Volkswagen Beetle. The Mini Cooper became popular in the U.S. around the turn of the 21st century, and it has a devoted set of followers. The 2005 Mini Cooper came standard with fog lights, which periodically will need to have new bulbs installed. This repair is straightforward and easy to do.

Instructions

Park your Mini Copper someplace flat, level and well lit. Set the parking brake and let the car cool down for 15 to 20 minutes.

Crawl under the front bumper and look directly behind the fog light lens for the inner fog light assembly. There are only two functioning parts to the assembly, a wiring harness and the bulb in a socket.

Unplug the harness by squeezing the base of the plug and pulling it out of the socket. Reach in and grasp the bulb. Give it a half turn to the left and pull it free from the socket.

Insert the new bulb an secure it in the socket. Be caul not to overtwist it during installation. Plug the harness back in.

How to Remove the Head Lights in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid

The 2000 Dodge Intrepid headlight has removable bulbs to simplify the replacement process. If a headlight bulb burns out, you can replace the individual bulb instead of having to buy a costly headlight assembly. You can buy a 9005 high beam bulb or a 9006 low beam bulb from an auto parts retailer and change them at home in minutes.

Instructions

Raise the hood of the Intrepid and secure it with the support rod. Remove the bolts securing the crossbar over the headlight assemblies using a socket and ratchet. Set the crossbar aside.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb you need to change. The inside bulb is the high beam and the outer bulb is the low beam. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise. Pull straight back to remove the bulb socket from the car.

Pull the bulb out of the socket. Push the new bulb into the socket and insert it into the headlight assembly. Turn it clockwise to lock it. Push the electrical connection into place until it clicks.

Repeat the process on the other side. Set the crossbar in place and secure it with the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts with a socket and ratchet.

Close the hood and test the lights.

Problem With Tundra Marker Lights Not Turning Off

The 2004 Toyota Tundra has had a number of recalls. One such recall is for the Tundra marker lights. A marker light is a blinking light that is produced to indicate the direction the driver is taking; its also known as a turn signal or indicator light. If your Tundras marker lights are constantly blinking, you may have a faulty blinker fuse or light bulb.

Instructions

Insert the key into the ignition and turn it clockwise to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.

Test the blinker system by inspecting the fuse panel. Look under the cars dashboard, which is located just below the drivers knee. Youll see the fuse box. Locate the tap on the fuse box cover and lift it up to snap the cover off. Remove the cover. On the underside of the cover is a chart that explains each fuse control.

Inspect the blinker flasher. Connect a jumper wire to two slots at the top of the fuse panel. Switch the blinker lever to the "Off" position. If the blinkers are still going, you may have a faulty fuse that will need to be replaced.

Turn off the Tundra and remove the key. Remove the marker light covers and replace the bulbs. Unscrew the cover and twist off the bulb. Insert another bulb into the housing and screw it in tightly. Insert the key into the ignition. If the lights continue to blink, youll have to turn to a mechanic to repair the fuse box.

How to Reset the Dash Lights in an Mazda Rx8

You can reset and turn off the dash warning lights on your Mazda RX8 right from your home garage, saving yourself time and money. When you see one of these lights illuminate on your instrument panel, you need to have the vehicle looked at and repaired by a qualified mechanic. All of the mechanical and electrical functions of the vehicle are monitored by the On-Board Diagnostic computer. The computer receives trouble codes from sensors positioned throughout the vehicle and it alerts you to any problems or servicing needs of the Mazda via warning lights on the dashboard.

Instructions

Locate the fuse panel cover under the steering wheel and open it by pulling down on it with your fingers.

Find the Engine Control Unit (ECU) fuse in the panel. You can find this by examining the fuse diagram that is located on the under part of the fuse panel cover.

Locate the fuse pullers within the fuse panel. Use the fuse pullers to remove the ECU.

Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "on" position, taking care not to start the engine. Wait for three minutes. Shut off the ignition.

Put the ECU fuse back in place and turn the engine on. Check to make sure all warning lights have turned off. Put the fuse pullers and fuse panel cover back in place.
