How to Install Chevy Exhaust Tips

A larger exhaust can improve performance on your vehicle and give you a more aggressive sound that gets noticed. Not everyone has the money for a full system, however, so if you want the sound of a performance exhaust for your Chevy but dont want to spend the cash, then installing a universal exhaust tip to your vehicle can make all the difference.

Instructions

    1

Position yourself next to the exhaust tip of the vehicle and set the exhaust tip over the stock tailpipe. Push it in and out until the exhaust tip looks like it fits the vehicle correctly.

    2

Thread the three bolts manually that surround the perimeter of the exhaust to loosely secure the exhaust tip in place. These three bolts are in a triangular pattern, so alternate bolts as you tighten so that eventually the tip will be centered on the stock tailpipe.

    3

Tighten down the bolts using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Make sure its secure so that the exhaust tip doesnt accidentally fall off while driving.
